Kenton Primary is a FEE PAYING SCHOOL, as voted for at the Annual General Meeting each year, which means that the Governing Body is authorised to charge and collect school fees from every family.
Please be aware of this when starting your relationship with Kenton. The GDE gives us an extremely small amount of money towards the running of the school, so everything else is covered with school fees including water and lights, maintenance of the buildings and grounds, purchasing of additional furniture, books etc.
The Government pays for only 25 of the required 36 class teachers so the rest of the staff have to be paid for from school fees which is a considerable amount of money.
It also pays for an additional computer teacher and a physical education teacher. We have a Teacher Assistant in every Foundation Phase class and grade 4 and two per grade in grade 5-7.
It is therefore essential that you join us with an understanding that you must pay your fees regularly in order for your child to benefit from the many advantages / positives offered at Kenton Primary School. Should you default on payment, the Governing Body is authorised, after a meeting of the parents at the Annual General Meeting, to recover the fees legally.

We are a CASHLESS school.
Credit/Debit Card payments are welcome. Just a reminder to parents that school fees are calculated annually.
